Services
Writing
Grants and contracts play a significant role in the financial health of nonprofit organizations. These avenues are crucial to the initiation of new programs and the continuation of current services.
My experience includes the full spectrum of grant management activities: researching prospects, preparing Letters of Inquiry and Letters of Interest, writing proposal narratives, assembling attachments, and preparing donor reports. Through one-time and multi-year awards ranging from thousands to millions, I have supported client agencies in raising more than
$20 million from foundations, corporations, and government entities.
Editing
For non-profit organizations, written content serves multiple purposes: an annual report is key to donor solicitations, while a press release supports volunteer recruitment. To be effective, these materials must be simple and concise. Dynamic word choices should provide impact to proposals, reports, and client literature.
With over two decades of professional experience, I have edited a broad range of products, from agency brochures and Web page content to instructional manuals and professional journals. I take pride in helping organizations accurately reflect the nature of their work, the power of their services, and the importance of their mission.
Training
Not quite sure what your organization needs? Not sure of the options available to your agency? Are you wondering whether your current grantseeking efforts or grant management systems are as effective as they could be? Short-term consultation or training services might be useful to understand your strengths and areas for improvement or shifts in your approach to grant management.
I have trained new, emerging, and struggling programs, helping them to establish or integrate grant management and grantseeking systems to ensure timely, effective submissions of funding requests and donor reports.
